Speaking, Training & Consultation
FOR THE THERAPIST WHO WANTS MORE
When Good Intentions Aren't Enough
The therapists who burn out aren't the ones who don't care. They're usually the ones who care the most, without the structure to sustain it.
Building a practice that is good for your clients requires building one that is good for you. Not as an afterthought, but as a deliberate clinical decision. A therapist who is overextended, doing work that no longer inspires them, or operating without intention behind the structure of their practice cannot fully show up for the people in front of them. That's not a mindset problem. It's a structural one.
This consultation work is for therapists who want both the clinical depth to meet complex presentations with confidence and the practice architecture to do that work sustainably, intentionally, and without burning through themselves in the process.

CLINICAL TRAINING BUILT ON SPECIALIZATION
What Jennifer Brings to Professional Training and Speaking
Jennifer Lancaster, LCSW-S, PATP, spent over 14 years treating complex clinical presentations across inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings. She left larger institutional systems, where the financial model was rarely designed with clinicians or clients in mind, to build something different.
That meant starting over. Making mistakes. Developing a niche, choosing the right investments, planning ahead rather than catching up, and making sure the people who need help most can actually find it. Building something sustainable enough that therapists can show up fully for their clients, year after year, without burning themselves out in the process.
Houston Healing Collective grew from that. A specialized private pay group practice built around clinical depth, intentional design, and the belief that when therapists are well, their clients get better care.
Her training and consultation work draws directly from that experience. What she learned, what she'd do differently, and what she wishes someone had told her sooner.
Jennifer speaks and trains on:
Trauma, eating disorders, psychedelic-assisted therapy, and co-occurring presentations that require more than a standard approach.
Helping clinicians develop a niche, choose the right specializations and training, and build a clinical identity that matches the work they actually want to do.
Starting, structuring, and growing a private practice that is sustainable, purpose-driven, and designed to support both the clinician and their clients.
PRIVATE PRACTICE CONSULTATION
Building a Practice That Reflects How You Actually Want to Work
Many therapists who reach out are at a specific inflection point. They know what kind of work they want to do and aren't sure how to build the practice that makes it possible. Or they've been in practice for a while and something about the structure, the caseload, the referral sources, the systems, isn't working the way they need it to.
This consultation work is built around the practical decisions that determine whether a practice is sustainable. Not theoretical frameworks. Real-world insight from someone who has made those decisions, adjusted when things didn't work, and built a practice that has grown in a specific direction deliberately.
Consultation is available for:
Therapists preparing to transition from agency or employed settings into private practice
Clinicians building toward a specialized private pay practice or group model
Therapists seeking to clarify their niche and align their caseload with the work they actually want to do
Clinicians navigating the financial and operational decisions that training programs don't cover
Areas consultation covers:
Defining who you serve and how that shapes everything else
Designing a cohesive client experience from first contact through ongoing care
Understanding overhead and building toward financial sustainability
Developing referral relationships that produce the right clients for your niche
Marketing in ways that feel clinically and ethically aligned
Creating systems that allow the day-to-day work to run without constant management
WHO THIS IS FOR
What May Become Clearer Through Consultation
Consultation is not therapy and it is not generic business coaching. It is a direct professional conversation with a clinician who has navigated the same decisions you are facing, in the same field, in a private pay specialized practice context.
A Clear Niche
Many clinicians leave with more precision about who they serve and why that specificity matters, both clinically and practically.
A More Sustainable Model
Understanding the real operational demands of a private practice leads to decisions that serve the practice over time, not just in the short term.
Fewer Costly Mistakes
Jennifer shares what she has learned through trial and adjustment so clinicians can move forward without repeating the mistakes that slow practice development down.
Curious Whether This Is the Right Fit for What You're Working On?
Whether it's a clinical question, a practice challenge, or a speaking inquiry, a brief conversation is the fastest way to find out. No obligation, no pitch.
